DISCO PIGS
Directed by Predrag Štrbac
Actors:
Pig: Milan Kovačević
Runt: Jovana Stipić
Pig and Runt, born on the same day, in the same hospital, just a few moments apart. Twins throughout, except the blood. Never separated since birth, they have almost telepathic communication between each other. They are as one, and they need nobody else, living in a sensitive, separated and dangerous world in which they have established their own rules, own language. They are also partners in crime, with need for imprudence, investigation and destruction. But, a day be for ether 17th birthday, perfect balance of this world starts to wobble. Pig’s awoken sexuality and escalating jealousy start to jeopardise their private universe. Unaccepted possibility of losing Runt, Pig’s unpredictable nature begins to get out of control, turning in to violence and destruction. The inseparables split, and who survives will depend on who manages to get free.
It was a true burst of energy, an emanation of actors' awareness which is rarely seen on this stage, perfect, harmonious partner's interplay. Jovana Stipic and Milan Kovacevic, fiercely wild, stirring in an emotional stammer, tragic in front of the unknown which lies outside their own world - whether we call it the fucking
freedom She doesn't what to do with, or death, after which there is nothing.
